Bold Conversations by Veuve Clicquot ’24

ON MAKING SPACE

Some experiences are designed to entertain. Others are designed to be remembered for the conversations they begin.

As part of Veuve Clicquot’s global Bold programme – an initiative dedicated to championing women entrepreneurs through mentorship, networking, and shared learning – Bold Conversations arrived in Accra with a simple ambition: create a space where meaningful dialogue could flourish.

Working within the operational rhythm of an active restaurant, ALOD designed an experience that balanced thoughtful hospitality with meticulous production planning. Every element, from the arrival sequence and panel environment to the transition into an evening cocktail reception, was carefully considered to support the conversations at the heart of the programme.

Guests were welcomed into a purpose-built discussion space before gathering outdoors for champagne and continued networking surrounded by Veuve Clicquot’s unmistakable visual identity. While the evening unfolded effortlessly for attendees, the venue itself quietly returned to its original form behind the scenes, allowing restaurant operations to resume exactly as planned.

Bold Conversations demonstrated that experience design isn’t always about creating spectacle.
Sometimes it’s about creating the right environment for ideas, relationships, and opportunities to grow.

The most successful conversations begin long after the first question is asked.
