Every project starts with the right conversation

    FAQs

Find Your Answers, Design Your Success.

What services does your company offer?

We offer three core services, and while we usually handle all three together on a project, each can also stand alone if that’s all you need.

    – Experiential Design & Curation: We design the full experience a guest moves through, not just the physical setup. This covers the concept, the emotional arc, the sensory and visual details, and how people interact with the space, whether that is shaping the guest journey for a brand’s product launch dinner or the flow of a private celebration.

    – Design Project Management: We manage design-led concepts, mainly spatial design work. This means coordinating designers, tracking approvals, and keeping the creative direction on schedule, such as overseeing a multi-vendor spatial build-out for a retail or brand activation space.

    – Event Production & Management: This is where we manage and execute everything, bringing the experience and design work to life on the ground. It covers logistics, vendor coordination, schedules, and on-site supervision, from a multi-day festival to a single-evening activation.

Who do you typically work with, and what kind of projects do you take on?

We work across creative, lifestyle, and small business sectors, with a growing focus on structured corporate projects and events. Our experience spans curated experiences, intimate productions, brand activations, cultural and arts events, and design-related projects, and we continue to build deeper capabilities suited for corporate and business environments as we grow.

Rather than specializing in one type of event, we adapt our process to the scope in front of us. Our projects have ranged from intimate dinners of around 20 guests to large-scale, multi-day events with up to 600 guests, so whatever the size or format, we shape our approach around what the project actually needs.

How do I get started, and what does the process look like?

You can reach out through any of the contact methods on our website, whether that’s email or the contact form. From there, we begin with a discovery session to understand your goals, timeline, and the level of support your project needs.

To get the most out of that first conversation, it helps to come with a rough sense of your event date, guest count, working budget, and any inspiration or references that capture the look and feel you’re going for. Even loose ideas are useful, we can help shape them from there.

After the discovery session, we prepare a tailored proposal that reflects the real scope of the project. This typically takes up to two weeks, depending on the scope and how much research is needed to put together accurate details.

We move as quickly as a project needs. We have taken on projects with less than 10 working days between first contact and delivery, but only when the timeline allows us to maintain our standard of quality. If a timeline is too tight to deliver well, we will let you know rather than take on a project we can’t execute properly.

What is your pricing structure for services?

We begin every engagement with a consulting session.

    – Consulting fee: GHS 1,300. This covers a one-hour discovery session where we review your needs, make recommendations, and outline next steps.
    – Booking fee: GHS 5,500 flat, regardless of project size. Once you’re ready to move forward, this reserves your date and applies toward your final invoice.

Your final quote is based on the scope, resources required, and your working budget. We take the time during the discovery session to understand what you’re working with and help shape a plan that fits.

Can you work with our internal team and existing vendors?

Yes, on both counts, as long as expectations are outlined upfront.

For internal teams, we typically start with a kickoff call to align on roles and responsibilities, followed by a reference document that outlines who owns what. This keeps everyone aligned and avoids overlap as the project moves from planning into execution.

For vendors you already work with, we’re happy to coordinate with them as part of the project. That said, we won’t take responsibility for the quality or outcome of their work unless we’ve been directly and clearly assigned that responsibility. For the parts of a project needing hands-on build or production, such as construction, staging, or technical setup, we typically bring in our own trusted team to ensure the standard of delivery stays consistent.

Can you support only one part of a project?

Yes. If you only need support with a specific stage or aspect of your project rather than the full scope, we’re able to step in for just that piece. Once we’ve aligned on what that involves, we focus on our assigned part while making sure it fits smoothly with the whole.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel or move your date, our cancellation policy applies. The booking fee is non-refundable and becomes due if it has not yet been settled.

For projects booked well in advance, we require at least 20 working days’ notice to cancel, and cancellations made within this window may qualify for a partial refund, minus the booking fee and any expenses already covered on your behalf. For projects booked closer to the event date, such as around a month out, we require at least 10 working days’ notice, and the same partial refund terms apply.

Once materials have been purchased or production has begun, those costs are not refundable. Any third-party vendors involved may also apply separate cancellation fees. If you prefer to reschedule, we can review availability and advise on any adjustments required.

    Do you travel for projects?

Yes. We are available for projects globally, not just Africa. Travel, accommodation, and any required logistics are covered by your brand, and we plan these details with you at the early stages, so they are factored in from the outset.

Do you outsource creative or technical specialists?

Yes. For projects that need specific expertise beyond our core team, such as lighting designers, architects, photographers and videographers, technical production and AV specialists, or florists, we bring in trusted specialists we’ve worked with before.

Unlike vendors a client may bring in independently, these specialists are sourced and managed directly by us. That means we take responsibility for their work and make sure it aligns with the outcome you’re working toward.

Do you provide visual previews or mockups?

Yes. We can provide visual previews in the format that works best for the project, whether that’s mood boards, sketches, floor plans, or 3D renders. These are typically shared once you’ve booked, as part of the planning process.

For more detailed renderings that require a specialized team beyond what ALOD provides in-house, this comes at an additional cost, which we’ll flag upfront before any work begins.

Do you provide ongoing support after project completion?

Yes. We remain available after a project wraps to help with a smooth transition and address any lingering questions, on a case by case basis depending on what the project needs.

If requested, we can also prepare a post-event breakdown, which may include budget reconciliation, vendor performance notes, guest feedback, documentation, or recommendations for future projects, depending on what’s agreed at the start of the engagement. This is opt-in rather than automatic for every project, and during peak periods we may not always be able to accommodate the request. Where that’s the case, we’ll let you know upfront.

Are you available for long term or recurring engagements?

Yes. We work with clients in a few different ways over time, whether that’s a retainer arrangement, a set number of projects across the year, an ongoing advisory relationship, or simply clients who return to us project by project as new needs come up. We’ve built these kinds of ongoing relationships with clients like Villa Grace, Polo Beach Club, Dot Ateliers, and Imexco. These longer-term relationships let us understand your needs more deeply over time, so each new project benefits from what we’ve already learned about how you work.
