What inspired you to start A Life of Design (ALOD) twelve years ago?
Unsurprisingly, A Life of Design (ALOD) wasn’t born from a single moment of inspiration twelve years ago. Back then, I was simply following my passions and learning from each experience that came my way. The current form and structure of ALOD only came together in 2022. Prior to that, I explored various paths, from journalism to real estate for a year, to a significant period in the events industry. In 2018, I took a step back to reflect on what truly fueled my passion and what I envisioned for my future.
Can you share a pivotal moment in ALOD’s journey that significantly shaped the company’s direction?
A pivotal moment in ALOD’s journey was the launch of my first business, The Secret Garden, an experiential studio designed to curate unique experiences for both kids and adults. This venture was a deep dive into the business world, where I gathered investors, pitched my idea, and oversaw the renovation of our first location. Simultaneously, I led design projects and event productions to keep revenue flowing, understanding that the concept of an experiential studio was a new concept in our market. Another key milestone was leading the design and event production for The Garden Party in 2018-2019, and the Polo Beach Club project from 2019-2021, which showcased our capabilities and set a new standard for our approach.
How has ALOD evolved over the years, and what key milestones stand out to you?
ALOD has transformed from a series of individual projects into a cohesive brand with a clear vision. Key milestones include the creation of The Secret Garden, which, despite its short lifespan due to the pandemic, taught me invaluable lessons. The Polo Beach Club project in 2019 was another standout moment that highlighted our potential. The pandemic and personal loss in 2020 were turning points, leading us to focus exclusively on design and event production. This shift solidified ALOD’s direction and commitment.
What core values and principles have guided ALOD’s growth and success in the design industry?

We prioritize attention to detail, innovative solutions, and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. These principles have helped us build a reputation for delivering exceptional designs and unforgettable experiences.
What do you envision for the future of ALOD, and how do you plan to continue innovating and pushing boundaries?
Looking ahead, I envision ALOD continuing to push the boundaries of design and event production, helping corporate brands express their persona while taking clients along on their growth journey. We plan to expand our portfolio, embracing new technologies while staying true to our core values. Our goal is to create even more immersive, innovative experiences that captivate and inspire. By maintaining a client-first approach and constantly seeking new ways to elevate our work, we aim to remain at the forefront of the design industry – continually transforming spaces into captivating experiences.
