Some projects are built in days. Others are held together over time.
When Kozo partnered with Veuve Clicquot to create a permanent terrace dedicated to the Maison, the ambition extended beyond designing a beautiful outdoor space. It was about creating an environment that honoured both Veuve Clicquot’s global brand standards and Kozo’s refined Afro-Japanese identity.
Guided by the Veuve Clicquot design playbook, ALOD was Inspired by the quiet balance of a Japanese Zen garden. The terrace was carefully planned to feel understated, elegant, and unmistakably Veuve Clicquot. We developed the delivery strategy, assembled specialist partners, and oversaw the project from concept through completion.
As with many permanent installations, the greatest challenge wasn’t the design—it was protecting the vision through an unpredictable build. Changing timelines, unforeseen delays, material challenges, and on-site constraints demanded constant coordination across every trade until the final pieces could come together.
Weeks later, the terrace opened to invited guests from Kozo and Veuve Clicquot, creating a dedicated home for one of the world’s most recognisable champagne houses within one of Accra’s most celebrated dining destinations.
The true measure of coordination isn’t how a project begins. It’s how confidently it reaches the finish line.
